Does your canola really need sulfur?
Three years of trial work by GOA has failed to demonstrate a response to added S on canola in "low" S soils.
- Do we really need to apply 20kg of S to every canola crop as recommended and does it really have a higher requirement for S than wheat.
- You may be better off investing in nitrogen- trials have demonstrated a much greater and more reliable investment than that in S in many cases.
